Resource Centre

Welcome to the resource section of the Index. Here you will find a number of interviews, videos and articles all tenor saxophone related!

We here at the Index do not endorse a particular train of thought, style or tradition of playing and it is hoped together we will all find many of the items here useful and informative helping you and us to form our own unique open opinions.

Please note all content in the centre is directly from the authors, makers and musicians who recognise they are offering up their own individual perspectives. What they say is not the law, right or wrong, so feel free to agree or disagree.

The Classical Tenor Saxophone Resource Guide is a free educational resource from American saxophonist Lisa Keeney for students and teachers. Its purpose is to provide quality yet concise information about playing the tenor saxophone while encouraging further research and study.

TSi: This is a fantastic resource with information compiled into one document. We have not had any direct input to the document so must point out that the section such as equipment is opinion and does not cover vintage instruments and mouthpieces which are widely used by professional saxophonists. It also excludes Matt London’s ‘Speak Now’ album of original works for tenor saxophone that includes 6 works not included on the document repertoire list.
