A movement from my Reflections suite - an honest and emotional musical response to my influences to date.
VI Further Than the Sea
The first theme composed for this suite, inspired by a visit to Howth Peninsula near Dublin. As I approached the top of the pier, the sea and sky met without a line on the horizon - one uninterrupted expanse of grey-blue that gave conflicting feelings of intimidation and awe, and an overwhelming freedom.
