Scored for Tenor Saxophone & Piano, Deep Blue was commissioned for Australian saxophonist Erin Royer. Deep Blue is both dark and light, ever-exploring, using colours that make the tenor saxophone such a unique and special instrument. Towards the end of the piece it is as if the musicians surface from the depths of the ocean, back to the real world!
