| Performance notes: | The movements are played attacca, and the accompaniment is straightforward, making the parts relatively simple to coordinate. The challenges lie in the altissimo and technical passages in the saxophone part. Short cadenzas close both sections, and a more extended cadenza is present in the Allegro.
